1. That the society shall be called The Preston Budgerigar Society and shall
have for its objectives the promoting of breeding and exhibiting budgerigars on a fair and level field with competition for all.
2. That any person wishing to become a member is to apply in writing and shall be proposed and seconded by two members and a ballot be exercised by the secretary in complete confidence. Any objections must be viable and written on the ballot paper before a vote be taken by exhibiting members. Secretary to inform candidate. This shall also apply to any person whose membership has lapsed. Any objections on any matter must be put before the committee and their decision will be final.
3. Subscriptions will be £12.00 per year for exhibiting members and £6.00 for social members. Subscriptions for exhibiting members to raise by £1.00 annually.
No concessions. Partnerships to be twice relevant subscription.
These must be paid on or before the clubs second show. Social members to have no vote on any society matter.
4. That a committee be made up of the afore named members.
G. Leadbetter, D. Sturzaker, M. Hastwell, R.Hall, J.Thompson, and D.Woodcock. Any matters unable to be resolved to a sensible and unanimous satisfactory conclusion by exhibiting members be forwarded to the committee and their decision will be final.
5. The society to hold an AGM annually in January were an audited financial report will be presented by the secretary.
6. The society to produce and make available an agenda for the following year in June of the previous year IE: agenda for 2009 to be set in June 2008.
7.New members must start in the bottom section irrespective of any other society status. New members wishing to join after the second show must join as a social member for that year. A maximum number of exhibiting members to be 24 a total of 6 per section divided into 4 sections.
8. All society shows to be judged by current OE EX BS panel judges.
9. Exhibitors will exhibit in any number of leagues, these to consist of a maximum of 6 exhibitors. The exhibitor with the most points winning the league and gaining promotion where applicable and thus the member with the least points being relegated again, where applicable the sections will be decided at the societies first table show and will remain so until promotion or relegation is gained or exhibiting members vote otherwise.
10. The appointment of the society officials be made at the society's first AGM and these to stand until resignation or any other situation that forces vacation of that position.
11. Exhibiting members must exhibit at a minimum of 3 society shows per year, failure to do so will result in a re application for exhibitor membership status.
